We begin our tours with a yummy breakfast at our favorite spot in Ataco. Here you can meet the rest of the group and fill up on a number of different typical dishes before we take off on our adventure.

After we finish our delicious meal, we will hop in the back of a 4x4 pickup truck and start our drive up into the mountains. With a brief stop along the way to see 3 famous Guatemalan volcanoes(Acatenango, Fuego and Agua), we will arrive at the starting point after about 45 minutes.

Your guide, William Uno, will then give you a short safety briefing before we begin our adventure. Clearing the way with his giant machete, he will teach you everything you need to know about the medicinal end edible plants of the park. Pay attention though, as there may be an ice cold cerveza up for grabs at the end of the tour!

Then we will begin the real adventure, beginning with a small 2 meter jump into the fresh water to freshen you up. The jumps will gradually increase in height, but don’t worry as you are able to skip the jumps if you prefer. When we arrive at the cave you will have the option to put on a harness and rock climb down if you aren’t up for jumping.

We will then stop for a delicious lunch in the mountains consisting of corn tortillas and freshly made guacamole, along with some tropical fruit.

After you have eaten, we will continue the adventure starting off with a natural rock slide, then onto the bottom of El Perol, our biggest waterfall at 35 meters tall. Here you will have the option of swimming, relaxing and watching the locos of the group do some more cliff jumping (from 5-13 meters)!!

When you are ready, we will begin our ascent through the jungle back to the starting point. This hike will get you working up a thirst and usually takes around 45 minutes, but don’t be alarmed as we can take as many breaks as you like.

When we arrive at the collection point you will have some time to catch your breath before our tour quiz! Whoever answers the question of the day will earn themselves a well earned, ice cold cerveza!

Here is when our driver will arrive to take us back to the meeting point in Ataco, where we will sadly part ways after no doubt your favorite day in El Salvador.

Our tour has been enjoyed by people of all ages from 5 to 75, but we still want to make sure everyone is prepared for the adventure ahead.

• A reasonable level of fitness as there is a small amount of uphill hiking involved
